Nannies

Aupairka Agency always have a very good selection of nannies. We interview our nannies in person and check their references and certificates thoroughly.

A nanny is a professional child carer and they should take responsible care of the children.

They usually work 10-12 hours per day and usually have sole charge of the children. They often have some form of childcare qualification, which contributes to a positive learning environment.

Live-in Nanny

Live-in nannies should be treated as a part of the family. They usually do up to two babysitting nights a week.

They have two full days off per week. They are treated as an employee (usually 4 weeks of paid holidays, sick pay and maternity pay. All this must be stated in the contract between the family and nanny) or they can be self employed.

Salary is £250 – £450 net per week

Live-out Nanny

Full time nannies usually work from 8am – 6pm. Any babysitting outside these hours is paid as overtime. They are treated as an employee (usually 4 weeks of paid holidays, sick pay and maternity pay. All this must be stated in the contract between the family and nanny) or they can be self employed.
